THE G-STRING HORROR Charles Webb g-stringhorror.com
I’ve always had a soft spot for films that are based on actual events, and I’ve always had a hard spot for strippers, and this movie covers both of my, er, spots. Aside from its skeezy title, it’s maybe the only film that competently straddles the line between being a found-footage slasher and a para- normal documentary. The story revolves around one of San Francisco’s oldest landmarks, The Market Street Cinema, which over the years has become a pretty grungy strip club, and which harbours a purportedly gruesome past. Having already seen the Ghost Adventures television episode that featured the building, director Charles Webb decided to take things even further by combining interviews he conducted with the staff and strippers who worked at the club with a cinematic recreation of what he believed to be the ghost, a peeler named Baby Doll who reportedly still haunts the labyrinthine basement. The result is a sleazy, cheesy romp that’ll please and tease even the most flaccid gorehound out there.

New IMDb Review for The G-string Horror

Nifty horror outing

21 October 2013 | by (The Last New Jersey Drive-In on the Left)

A production company starts shooting a horror film in an old haunted movie palace that’s been converted into a seedy strip club. Things go awry when the ghostly inhabitants revolt and take over the picture for their own sinister purposes. Director Charles Webb relates the absorbing story at a steady pace, does a solid job of creating and sustaining a spooky atmosphere, makes excellent use of the rundown main location, delivers a generous sprinkling of bare breasts and funky gore, and tops everything off with an amusing sense of lowbrow humor. Moreover, it’s acted with aplomb by a game cast, with especially stand-out contributions from veteran scream queen Debra Lamb as flaky psychic Madame Zee and Mike Gleason as the amiable Big Mike. Buxom blonde Natasha Talonz makes for an appropriately grotesque ghoul as rot-faced stripper specter Baby Doll. The cinematography by Charles De Santos neatly alternates between garish color and stark black and white. Kevin MacLeod’s shuddery score hits the spine-tingling spot. Done in a faux documentary style complete with mock interviews and shaky hand-held camera-work, this film generates a genuinely unsettling vibe. A cool little fright flick.

About *Demon Cut*…

First there was The G-string Horror…

“A production company shooting a horror film at the Market Street Cinema in San Francisco, a 100 year old movie palace turned strip club, is attacked by the inhabitants as they revolt and take over the movie for their own purposes with shocking results. The shapeshifting phantasm of a murdered stripper possesses an actress in a savage attempt to escape the prison of the decaying theater. She makes her getaway to pursue her lurid destiny.”

Then…all hell broke loose…

Had enough fun with “found footage” horror films?

Check out *Demon Cut*…the first horror film to have been re-edited by the disembodied entities and shadow beings that the film is about!

After The G-string Horror and Ghost Adventures TV series crews disrupted the normal day to day “lives” these wraiths enjoyed at the Market Street Cinema one too many times, they stormed the editing suite and their bizarre and disturbing *Demon Cut* is the result.

Watch THEM watch YOU as you watch their movie! If they like you, they just may pay you a visit!
